Steve and Kayla Make Love for the First Time,
& Steve Says "I love you" to Kayla for the First Time
(The first time she actually hears him anyway).

Background: Steve is hiding out at Kayla's, after being set up for shooting Harper Deveraux.


Ed Daniels, fake FBI agent, comes to check up on Kayla after a disturbance at KAVA chemical (he thinks Steve and Kayla were behind it & they were). The policeman who has been guarding Kayla's door all night assures Ed Daniels that Kayla hasn't left her apartment all evening.

Steve, hiding out upstairs, listens as Kayla gets Daniels to leave.

As soon as Daniels is gone, Steve comes downstairs to tell Kayla he is proud of her...."I remember when I first met you, little Ms. Kayla Brady- I can't believe you're doing some of the things you're pulling off now"

Kayla: "Maybe you just didn't know me very well..."
Steve:"I know one thing about you...you know how to get what you want"

"Sooner or later, I always do"

It's really hot outside-so Steve and Kayla sit by the window. Kayla assures Steve he can go take a shower, she will keep watch for the "bad guys".

Steve comes back downstairs after his shower.


They decide he should spend the night on the roof, to make sure no one knows he is at Kayla's (in case Diana comes home).

Kayla gives him some sheets for the roof, and  some ice water.


Kayla looks up from her window to catch a glimpse of Steve.
She decides to join him on the roof

"I thought you'd never get here baby."

Steve: "I'll tell you the truth, I never thought we'd get this far..."
Kayla: "I never doubted it...I'm glad we waited."

Steve: "You're the best thing I ever waited for..."

The next morning they wake up in Kayla's bedroom. Steve reminds her that he carried her downstairs earlier.

Kayla tells Steve last night was wonderful.
Steve: "Yes, it was....you know why? "
Kayla: "Why?"

Steve: "Because I love you. I love you Kayla."
Kayla: "I love you too"

Kayla: "Why did it take us so long when we always knew it would be like this? You always knew it would be like this didn't you?" (Steve nods)"Then why did it take you so long to want me..."

Steve: "Kayla I always wanted you. I wanted you from the first time I saw you."
Kayla: "Then why?"
Steve: "You know why...I just never thought it would work for us."

Kayla: "And now? What do you think now?"
Steve: "Here's what I think..."
