Steve and Kayla see that really need to lay low- he has made the newspaper covers.

Steve warns Kayla they can't stay at the honeymoon hotel long

Kayla is excited to take a bath...

Until her leg injury acts up. Then she feels like she is holding Steve back from really getting on his way

Steve comes in and sees that Kayla is upset. He reminds her she saved his life three times...once from the bear, once from the snake...She wants to know what the third time was. He answers, "I think I was talking about the day I met you."

Kayla cheers up :)

Steve feeds Kayla bananas.

Steve takes a bath singing, "It's me myself and nobody else cried Barnacle Bill the Sailor, It's me myself and nobody else, cried Barnacle Bill the sailor"

Steve and Kayla sleep --for a little too long. When they wake up, they hear some people on their way into the room.

Steve turns the sprinklers on to scare the people away from the room. (It works).

Steve and Kayla team up with Adrienne and Justin. They need to look up  Dr. Simon Hopkins  files at CULA (California State University, Los Angeles--actually filmed at UCLA).

Steve is bored by the lecture...

But he knows history and impresses Kayla and the class.

They break into the file room

After Justin and Adrienne leave, Steve finds a file of interest...

His father's CULA employment record.

Kayla wants to know what's gotten Steve so upset

Steve remembers being on the CULA campus with his father...

...right before he was sent off to the orphanage in Los Angeles.

Steve takes Kayla to the sculpture he remembers from his childhood.

Kayla comforts Steve

Kayla realizes Steve is up to something...she doesn't think he is coming back with her on the bus to Salem

Steve remembers how beautiful Kayla looked when she came to his rescue in Stockholm.

(Kayla to Steve) "I love you"

Kayla runs  off, upset because she
feels Steve is hiding something...

Steve tells Kayla she has something in her head that doesn't belong there.

Kayla: How can you do this?
Steve: What am I doing?
Kayla: You're pushing me away again..
Steve: No, I'm not...
Kayla: What does it take to get close to you?

Steve: I've let you get closer to me than anyone, ever, in my whole life.
