Steve takes Kayla to the hospital,
insisting that Neil check Kayla out
even though Kayla says she feels
fine. Unbeknowst to Kayla, He is
stalling so that they don't
go home right away and ruin the
surprise he has planned

Kayla senses something is going on

and is very suspicious.

Steve makes a phone call to Jo, to
make sure his plan is all set. She tells
him she needs more time....Steve has
to stall some more.

Steve takes Kayla out to dinner at
Wing's...and stays so long that Kayla
is once again, suspicious.

Steve taking a bite out of Kayla's food.

S: Thats good fish huh?

K: mm hmm

S: Is something wrong?

K: Did you notice we are the last people left
in this restaurant?

S: No, you're right, I didn't notice

K: Our waitress did, she left

S: Really? I guess she doesn't care about
her tip

K: You know....why don't we get our check and go?

S: Ok...Dave.

Dave: Yes? Is there something I can get you?

S: Yes, we'd like the check....But first, some coffee, and dessert menus

Dave: I'll be right back

S: I hope they have that chocolate
mousse you like so much

K: Steve, I don't believe you...

S: What, you're not on a diet, are you?
(laughs)

K: Alright, alright...What's going on

S: What are you talking about

K: I know you, and you never act this
innocent unless you are really guilty.
Now, what's going on? There's some
reason you don't want me to go to that
house...

S: You're right...

K: You admit it then?

S: Ya, I admit it..

K: Well, what is it?

S: Mmmmm....

A disco ball drops down, the lights dim, and their song (If your heart comes out tonight) plays.

S: It's been so long...

K: Too long....

Steve and Kayla are back home, upstairs in
a hallway.

K: Finally...You don't know how happy I am to be here...

Kayla wonders why Jo is there

Jo makes up an excuse saying she was
cleaning up the place, knowing Steve
must have left it a mess, and Kayla was
coming home.

Before leaving she says to Steve, "It's all ready".

K: Wait wait wait a second, What was that?

S: What?

K: What did Jo just say?

S: You didn't hear

K: No

S: Good...

K: Steve

S: What?

K: You're doing it again

S: It?

K: Ya, you're making that face

S: Oh, you mean the innocent face?

(Steve does the innocent face)

K: Ya, only you're looking guiltier by the second

S: Maybe that's because I am...

K: Ok enough of this, what's going on?

S: Oh now baby, I can't tell you. You've got to do a little detective work if you
want to close this case.

K: Alright lets start with Jo, what was she doing here?

S: You heard her, she said she was here
to clean up after me. You know what its like
when a man gets alone, by himself, in a place like this, this is a big place...he starts wearing the same clothes every day...eating beans out of a can...all kinds of stuff

K: In a bedroom?

S: Why else would she be in there?

K: I don't know, I'm going to find out

S: Well, ok...

Kayla opens the door of the bedroom, to
find it has been turned into a nursery for the baby

K: You did all this for me?

S: For us. For you. And me, and our baby.

K: Look at all this

S: You know those happy times you were
talking about? We're going to have a lot of
those. We're going to fill this big place up with kids, and noise and love...There will be a lot of love here.

S: And when the kids grow up and they're off on their own, it will just be you and me
again here. And I will love you even more, if that's possible, because I love you so much.
