A young cartoonist (Arthur "Artie" Wayne) finds his life threatened as the events of his strip start happening to him. Cindy works at the newspaper with Artie, and has a crush on him. At one point they were involved. First Cindy Scene: Cindy reveals that Artie was involved with Raymond Kelly, the cartoon writer's, wife (they had an affair, but the woman died 3 months earlier). Cindy warns that the writer would kill Artie if he ever found out. (Raymond is cleared after he is murdered, then Artie seems to be suspect in that murder). Second Cindy Scene: Cindy is under surveillance (by RemingtonSteele). Third Cindy Scene: At Raymond's funeral, Cindy is touched by Artie's words about Raymond (giving him credit for his career). Fourth Cindy Scene: Artie confronts the newspaper editor, asking him why there was a new "Blaster" strip if they had decided to put that strip to rest since Raymond died. The editor explains that they found a new writer and decided to keep it going. Artie and Cindy are both upset to hear this, because Artie was promised his own, new strip. Cindy tries to comfort Artie. Cindy is revealed to be the person who masterminded everything, including the murders. (She wanted to share credit with Artie on the new strip)
