Steve walks into Shenanigan's
with Joanie, his friend  who has
been down on her luck

When Steve leaves, Kayla talks to Joanie, who she knows through her work at the
emergency center

Kayla learns that Steve has helped
Joanie, a single mother, so that she wouldn't give her son up for adoption.

Kayla figures out why Steve had
stood her up on their date--He had
been helping Joanie out of an emergency
that night

Kayla and Adrienne wait for Steve to
arrive, outside of his apartment. Adrienne hands Kayla a drink...

Kayla has a bit too much to drink.

Steve finally arrives, playing his harmonica

Kayla is excited to see Steve.

She gets up, trying to make her way over to him....

But she falls and Steve has to catch her.

He realizes that she's drunk

Kayla tells Steve that "the cat's out of the bag", she knows he's a great guy.

She knows he stood her up because he's a great guy

Steve is suspicious of Adrienne and tells her to leave him alone

Steve has to take drastic measures
to get Kayla home

On the way, she pinches his butt

Steve takes Kayla to her room

...Places her on the bed and tries to leave

But Kayla has other ideas...she wants him to stay

As Steve puts Kayla's coat away, she starts to undress....

throws her clothes up in the air, saying "Hey mama, get off the range...."

Steve nervously enjoys the show

Kayla asks him to stay

He's tempted

He says he has to go home and take a nice cold shower

She wants to go with him...

Steve thinks that would defeat the purpose

He tries to say goodbye

She still wants him to stay...

Steve wants her to look him in the eyes-to be sure she really wants this...

She says she is sure...

Then falls asleep on his shoulder

After tucking Kayla in, Steve gets ready to leave, and looks over at her one more time. She says she thought he was going to stay....

Steve gets back into bed next to Kayla...

They fall asleep in each other's arms.
