Steve falls into a coma

Steve doesn't know what to go back for...

The angel tells Steve he has a lot to live for.

Marcus tells Kayla that Steve almost died, and is now in a coma.

Angel Steve takes Steve to his hospital room, to show him how much Kayla loves him.

Steve still thinks Kayla would be better off without him. He tells the Angel that he doesn't know one person whose life is better because he was in it.

On cue, Mrs. Horton walks into the hospital roomand remembers how Steve saved her life.

The Angel knows he has to show Steve what life could/will be like.He shows Steve what his wedding night would be like.

The Angel shows Steve what it would be like to have a family with Kayla...

And what it would be like to grow old with Kayla.

Steve cries, "I want to live"

Kayla is relieved when Steve wakes up...she was so worried.

Steve tells Kayla she is stuck with him.

Kayla is under anesthesia, having surgery that may or may not restore her hearing.

"Angel Steve" appears

He reminds her that Steve is a man who wears a patch, and that never affected her love for him. Why can't she let Steve love her just the way she is?

Kayla says she has to be at peace with herself and her limitations before
she can commit to a life with Steve.

The angel reminds Kayla that the best thing Steve has going for him is Kayla's love for him, and his love for her. ..

The angel shows Kayla what
Steve is saying at that very moment ...

Steve is crying, telling Jo:
"I love her so much...I need her. I don't give a damn if she can hear or not...I don't give a damn about that! I want her to be my wife."

"Soon you'll be able to hear me...tell you I love you. "

Kayla hasn't changed her mind...Angel Steve knew she was going to be a challenge. He is going to take her somewhere very beautiful...very special.

Kayla agrees to go with him.

Angel Steve takes Kayla on a boat ride...he can't tell her if she will ever hear or speak again. But he can tell her that the Patch Man loves her, with all of his heart.

Angel Steve reminds Kayla some of
what she and Steve have been through together.

Angel Steve brings Kayla back to the hospital..

Kayla to Angel Steve:
"You're right...it doesn't matter that I
can't hear. What does matter is I have a wonderful man who loves me a lot. Thank you, for everything."

Angel Steve to Kayla:
"Enough with the thanks, just go back where you belong, they need you there. Take good care of Steve, he loves you." (He hands her a yellow rose, the flower Steve always gives her).

Kayla wakes up in Steve's arms.
