Stephen & Mary Beth are introduced as presenters to appear later in the show.

The show starts off with a musical number, sung by an unknown actress playing a reporter covering the Emmys.

She turns to Stephen and Mary Beth
as she sings one line from her song:
"So many stars so many stories...
Patch and Kayla hear wedding bells..."

Phil Donahue (Emmy Host) announces:
"Young, Passionate, HOT, caring, sexy
are just some of the words you could
use to describe our next presenters but
as far as I am concerned there are just
few words that do the job perfectly:
From Days of our Lives, Patch and
Kayla" (A clip of Kayla punching Steve at the community center boxing ring is shown).

Stephen and Mary Beth walk out,
Stephen putting his hand over one eye
as if Mary Beth had just punched him. Mary Beth laughs.

SN: "Have you been taking lessons from Tyson baby?"

MBE: "He taught me how to do that in less than 90 seconds"

MBE: "Here are the 5 nominees for this year's youngest leading man in a daytime drama series" (names are said)

SN: "And the winner is...

...Billy Warlock, Days of our Lives!!"
